Volunteer Coordinator

Katie Zarandia has been involved with  Helping Hand since 2018. She was originally a volunteer and is now the volunteer coordinator. Katie recruits volunteers and coordinates volunteer activities.  Katie is a third-year student at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University where she is studying at the Faculty of Psychology and Education. In 2019 she graduated from the Georgian Technical University Professional School.


Ms. Zarandia is involved in a variety of educational projects, both at university and outside of it. She has participated in conferences, trainings, festivals, competitions and thematic schools. She is an amateur photographer and has won several photo contests. Ms. Zarandia works with ethnic minorities and has conducted trainings in frontline ethnic minority schools. She is currently a volunteer tutor and assists non-Georgian speaking students in learning Georgian and adapting to a new living environment. As a future teacher she often holds meetings with different target groups in schools and shares her experiences with them.
